You Asked For It - Who created God?
In our series, "You Asked For It", two of our teenagers asked the questions: How was God created? and Who created God?
Let's assume for a second that there was a time when there was nothing. Nothing existed. If that was true then there would be nothing today. Nothing comes from nothing. For something to exist today there would have to be something that always existed. There has to be a part of our universe that never began and is the cause of what we see today.
God is the creator and is outside of the realm of the created.
(Isaiah 57:15 NIV)
15 For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
(Revelation 1:8 NIV)
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
God is an uncaused being that caused everything else to come into existance. He is an uncreated creator that caused everything in our universe
